Heartfield's image on the far right appeared as seen here in a 1930 issue of the AIZ. The image works in tandem with an article on the facing page that shows how photographs in other periodicals were falsified even for the most trivial of reasons.
On the upper left, we see how a magazine artificially lengthened the skirt of a painter as she poses with her painting of the pope.
